Aaron Talks About His Second ‘Shark Tank’ Appearance and Rejection

Tiege Hanley Vlog: Aaron Is Going Back on ‘Shark Tank’

On this installment of the “Starting a Business and Building a Brand” video series, Aaron makes a big announcement—he’ll be appearing on season 7 (episode 29) of “Shark Tank” to pitch his award-winning men’s hair styling line Pete & Pedro. Aaron says he filmed the episode nearly a year ago, and it’s been the single-hardest secret he’s ever had to keep.

How to Handle Rejection as an Entrepreneur

As you may know, Aaron previously appeared on “Shark Tank” (season 4, episode 2) to pitch the investors his Alpha M Style System. After walking away with—spoiler alert!—no deal, Aaron learned a few important lessons but ultimately experienced what he calls “heartbreaking rejection.” At the end of the experience, Aaron knew he had to lower the price of the system and convert it to a digital format for it to be successful.

Aaron says it was this feedback that led him to create Pete & Pedro, a low-priced hair product line that a lot of guys need and want. As soon as he launched Pete & Pedro, Aaron knew that he had to take his new product into the Tank and get it in front of the sharks. Aaron closes the video by encouraging budding entrepreneurs to use negative feedback to forge a successful company.

So Did Aaron Make a Deal on ‘Shark Tank?’

SPOILER: At the time of this vlog, Aaron was unable to share the results of his Pete & Pedro pitch, but the show has now aired and you can watch the episode here. After entertaining multiple deals, Aaron ultimately agreed to do a deal with Barbara Corcoran. In the end, the deal fell through.
